About this Dog
LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL FAMILY: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 68 lbs. Hi, I’m Constance, but I answer to the name Leia (please refer to Constance though when inquiring about me as that’s the name all my records are under). I was adopted as a puppy, but my family had a work change with travel and can no longer keep me, so Mostly Mutts welcomed me back into their family so I could find my furever home. The shelter is stressful to me, but I’m starting to adjust. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and I’m learning to interact with them and getting more comfortable, even wanting to play now. My former family reported that I liked the dogs I met while with them, so if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet! / My former family reported that I was good with kitty cats. I have not met cats while with Mostly Mutts. / My former family reported that I liked the kids I met while I was with them, though I don’t recall their ages. I met kids at Mostly Mutts that were 10 years old and did well with them. I don’t like being hugged though, so kids that are old enough to understand that are best and kids should not walk me as I can be a flight risk. No very young kids and of course let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I came back to Mostly Mutts quite upset and very scared but also very sweet. I’m improving and am showing tail wags and giving kisses to my favorite people. When I see my favorite people, I want to get them right away in a happy way. Loud or sudden noises spook me so I’m wearing a calming collar to help with that. Energy level: 5-7 currently. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘drop it’, ‘stop’ and ‘high 5’ commands so far. I also know how to use proper door etiquette, and I look forward to learning even more. / I’m improving in my crate at Mostly Mutts and did well in a crate in my former home. / My potty manners have been good at Mostly Mutts and my former family reported that I did well with them, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I’ve made great friends with a group of people at Mostly Mutts, and I get very excited when I see any of them and want to be with them right away! Friends are the best and I’m sure I’ll bond deeply with my new family, and we’ll discover lots of things we like doing together. / I don’t like being restrained or hugged and I don’t like eating out of metal bowls, but rather a plate. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Going to the vet stresses me, so I will likely need to be pre-medicated before vet visits. I’ve started on an inexpensive anxiety medication to help me with shelter stress, just ask about this please. I’m looking for a great family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adopt Constance and Receive Constance's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Constance's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Constance's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Constance, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Constance's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Constance was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Constance’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Constance’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Constance’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
