About this Dog
A SWEET & GENTLE GIRL: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 58 lbs. Hello, my name is Ansley – a pretty girl with a beautiful, silky coat! I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts and have been soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers ever since. I now hear it is time to find my new family, and I am soooo excited! I’m ready to start my ‘happily ever after’ in a loving home – perhaps YOURS? I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts and although I didn’t really want to play, I was interested and didn’t show any aggression. I also did well with the 5-year-old Yorkie in my foster home, and she was fine with me taking over all her favorite places, lol. I like when dogs are mellow, so if you have a more mellow dog at home already, let’s meet! / I have not met cats are Mostly Mutts, however I paid no mind to a cat I saw on a walk with my foster. / I really liked the teenagers in my foster home, and I was just as happy to meet some younger kids (around 10 years old) at the playground. I rolled right over for belly rubs with my tail wagging the whole time, so if you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was initially stressed when I arrived at the shelter, but I’m doing much better now that I know I’m safe. A true people-pleaser, the volunteers who come to spend time with me describe me as ‘sweetness from head to toe’. I don’t beg when my foster is eating. I did bark a few times to alert her to unfamiliar noises I was hearing outside, and at any door bell sound, but I quieted down quickly with a firm ‘leave it’. I weaved between her legs trying to get affection from her, so it’s best I don’t live with anyone with mobility issues. My foster described me as ‘sweet and gentle’ and said I ‘wasn’t surprised by much (vacuum, etc.)’ and only cried if I was alone – I definitely love being with my people. I have a keen sense of smell and sharp hearing. I often track down scents in the yard and listen carefully whenever someone even thinks about entering my foster’s yard, lol. My foster gave me a treat puzzle, and with my excellent sniffer, I completed it in minutes. I’m super cute and super affectionate with a calm and low-key nature - I’m ready and waiting to be your new best friend. My foster also says that I am a fabulous dog and will make an amazing addition to a wonderful family! / My energy level is 5-7 – with fun short bursts of play time being my specialty. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a smart girl who knows the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’ and ‘come’ commands. I also walk nicely on a leash and know the fun command, ‘shake’. I look forward to learning more, so let’s have some training sessions together as my foster says that I’m very smart and can learn a lot more! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. I do not like being in a crate in my foster home and damaged a metal crate there, but have very good house manners without a crate, so I don’t really need one. I enjoy sleeping at the foot of my foster’s bed. With my foster, I’ve typically woken up around 6:30am. / I have good potty habits in my foster home on a good schedule. I also whine at the door to notify my foster that I need to go out. • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with the volunteers is just the best, because I get the chance to go out and roll in the grass and on you! Then, I can give you kisses and nose nudges to request more attention – which I love! I enjoy playing with toys (sometimes performing my special squeakerectomy on them), enjoying a stuffed Kong, and getting those great belly rubs. Toss a tennis ball my way, and I'll jump up to catch it with precision! I love being outside, and have become quite fond of bird watching, perhaps we can do that together? I ride well in the car, so let’s go on some adventures! After playing, I enjoy curling up for a cozy nap on the couch. When I wake up, get ready for the cutest stretch you’ve ever seen — front paws on the couch, back paws on the floor — it's my signature move! / I’m not a fan of the busy traffic around the shelter and am much happier and more relaxed playing in the back yard. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’ve been experiencing some anxiety, so I’m currently taking an inexpensive anxiety medication to help with that, I may be able to be weaned off of it once I’m settled in my new home. I am looking for a great home with a loving furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adopt Ansley and Receive Ansley's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ansley's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ansley's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ansley, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ansley's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ansley was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ansley’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ansley’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ansley’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
