Meet Zara 🐾
Zara is a beautiful 8-year-old tortoiseshell with radiant eyes, an independent spirit, and just the right amount of tortie sass.
Zara has been a solo girl her entire life, and she likes it that way. She thrives in a calm, quiet home with minimal activity and would be happiest as the only pet. She is not comfortable around other cats or large dogs, and too much disruption or frequent changes to her environment can make her uneasy.
She’s wonderfully low-key and low-maintenance. Zara enjoys doing her own thing and is an expert at finding the perfect little hiding spot. Don’t be surprised if she disappears into one of her favorite cozy places for a day or two—she values her alone time and will reappear when she’s ready.
She isn’t a cat who needs constant attention or activity around her. Zara needs someone who understands that loving an independent cat sometimes means giving her space, respecting her boundaries, and allowing her to come to you on her own terms.
Zara is spayed and litter-box trained. She will need to have her vaccinations brought up to date.
Her ideal home would be peaceful, predictable, and preferably without other pets—a place where this independent little lady can settle into her routines, find her favorite hiding spots, and live life exactly the way she likes it.

How will Zara receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Zara, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Zara's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zara was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zara’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Zara’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zara’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
