About this Dog

Emma is a stunning, high-energy German Shepherd looking for her forever home with someone who loves the outdoors as much as she does! She’s 7 years old, spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and in excellent health. Emma thrives on activity – hiking, running, splashing in water, and playing with her favorite chew (bully sticks!) are her absolute favorite things. She’s smart, loyal, and loves spending time with her humans, both adults and children alike. She has completed a professional boarding school training program and knows her commands well. Her training includes the use of an e-collar, which she responds to wonderfully. Continued use of the e-collar is essential for maintaining her obedience and focus, especially during off-leash activities or in high-distraction environments. We are happy to provide guidance or connect you with her trainer if needed. That said, Emma is not a fit for homes with small dogs. Unfortunately, after multiple incidents—most recently a serious one—we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her for the safety of our other small pets. Emma may be okay with large dogs ONLY if she gets along with them, so any dog introductions should be done SLOWLY and CAREFULLY. She would do best in a home where she is the only dog or with a confident, compatible large dog, and with someone experienced in handling working breeds. A fenced yard, regular exercise, and lots of love will help her thrive. Emma is an amazing dog with so much to give. If you’re looking for an energetic, intelligent, and loyal companion and can provide her the right environment, she could be your perfect match.

Adopt Emma and Receive Emma's Fund

How will Emma receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Emma, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Emma's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emma was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emma’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Emma’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Emma’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
