About this Dog
Ms Luna is a very smart girl. She knows all the basics from sit to paw. Lately, we have been working on walking without a leash. She stays close for a good bit, then tends to get distracted, but overall, she is doing well. She is full of puppy energy, but is very docile around other dogs at the park. She is a gentle giant. Very intelligent and wants to please, but she can get a little sneaky about the garbage if left out. She is crate trained but has learned how to get out. We want an active, loving home that appreciates an intelligent, working breed. She has separation anxiety, so a home with a companion dog or someone home most of the time would be ideal. She is a courtesy post for her rescuer, who is unable to keep her in his apartment due to the high pet rent. Her rescuer will schedule her spay; that will be part of the adoption agreement. Age: 1 year Weight: 70 lbs Temperament: Gets along with larger/sturdy kids, other dogs Training: Housetrained, has basic training, crate trained but escapes Vetting: Spay is being scheduled, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: [email protected] To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

Adopt Luna and Receive Luna's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Luna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Luna's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Luna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Luna's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
