About this Dog
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ruby, a +/-2-year-old female pit mix with all my shots, I’m spayed and microchipped. 3 months ago, my foster parents took me home, set boundaries, house trained me, trained me the basic commands, trained me how to walk on a leash, and best of all gave me love. When I wake up I love to give kisses and nibble on your ear, but in return you need to rub my belly and scratch my butt. You don’t have to worry about understanding my needs because when it’s feeding time, or I need to go outside or I’m hungry, or I want to play, I will chomp at the air and bark. Eventually, over time you’ll know the difference. My favorite game is tug of war, but I will not turn down a game of chase me when I have a toy or if you’re busy I’ll chase my own tail. And if I get too excited all you need to do is tell me “easy” in a calm voice and I’ll understand. Be careful, do not give me any rubber toys because when I get into it, I forget and accidently swallow the little pieces. I know I sound perfect, but I do have some traits you need to know about. I can, at times, guard my resources, when I feel they will be taken from me. I used to be really bad, but my foster parents helped me get over most of those feelings. In case that happens, and since I’m highly food motivated, you can distract me with a treat. I tend to eat really fast so to slow me down I’m best with a slow feeder bowl. At times, on walks, I can pull and bark at other dogs and since my foster parents didn’t have any kids, I do not if I like them or not. Don’t forget to walk me, it takes me to my happy place and with consistent guidance by an alpha, in a pet free environment I’ll truly shine in my forever home.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ruby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruby’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
