Name: Danica Breed: Pitbull Mix Sex: Female Approx. Age: 5 Weight: 45 pounds Location: Dallas, GA RESCUING DANICA… We met Danica at her worst- she was hit by a car! Her injuries included a shattered left back leg. right hip displacement, to which none of the ligaments seemed to be attached, and her lung collapsed. We were able to give her her FREEDOM RIDE on 4/2/22. She was stabilized overnight and was able to see the orthopedic specialist to be evaluated. She ultimately had to have her left leg amputated due to being beyond repair. ABOUT DANICA… Danica has had a rough beginning, but it does not need to end there! Have a soft spot for a tripod dog? Danica is your girl! She is housebroken, crate trained, and a pretty low-maintenance girl due to her circumstances. She is a dominant female, so she would not be good in a house with cats, but possibly with another dog after an introduction. Her favorite activities will be more cuddling and sleep rather than a big hike or fetching. Danica would love a good comfy area to lie down and someone to give her the love that she so deserves! ADOPTING DANICA… Danica is spayed, is updated on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She is on monthly preventative. She is eating Stella & Chewy Essentials Meadow Recipe grain-free dry dog food. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Danica was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Danica’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Danica’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Danica’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
