About this Cat
Emmylou can’t wait to meet you! Named after country crooner Emmylou Harris, this sweet girl loves using her little voice to talk to you (she’s a true tortie!) and tell you all about her adventures. Emmy enjoys spending her days outdoors and has proven herself a good little huntress, but she loves coming inside for scratches and head butts in the evenings before she snuggles into a cozy, protected corner to rest. She absolutely adores attention and likes it when you throw her toys for her to chase. She also has a ton of fun helping her current human with the yard work and will do a great job of standing guard while you garden or rake the leaves. We’ve been told Emmylou is about 2 years old—she’s still in her kitten phase and has a lot of playful energy. She weighs 10 pounds and has bright green eyes and a fluffy white belly. Emmy is a fan of peace and quiet outside of what she deems “designated playtime,” and sudden movements/loud noises make her nervous, so she would love to join a family with adults or older children. Emmy is litter box trained and currently uses a cat door to let herself in and out of the house as she pleases. She doesn’t have any special dietary restriction and she has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. If you’re interested in learning more or meeting Emmylou, don’t hesitate to let us know!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Emmylou's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emmylou was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emmylou’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
