Tanner is a 7 month old male Shepherd/Pit mix with a heart as big as his joyful smile. With his adorable markings and soulful expressive eyes, he’s as charming as they come. Friendly and full of joy, Tanner lights up around people - whether he’s heading out for a walk or simply lounging close by, he is happiest just being near you. He also seems dog-friendly, where he greets other dogs with polite curiosity and enjoys being near them. (As always, a Meet n Greet is recommended if there are other dogs in the household). Smart and eager to please, Tanner already knows the Sit command and is ready to learn more with some loving guidance. He is simply waiting for someone to recognize the warmth and joy he offers so freely. Give this sweet lovable pup a chance of a lifetime, and Tanner will reward you with a lifetime of love and happiness. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tanner was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tanner’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tanner’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tanner’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
