Idgie is a 2 year old female Hound mix whose shy, puppy-like charm is impossible to resist! When first taken out of her cage, she is a bit unsure about the loud shelter environment, and she often moves through the kennel area with her tail tucked due to all the noise and commotion. And then, like magic, once Idgie gets to the park, her personality begins to shine. She transforms into a sweet, joyful companion, her tail wagging, eyes full of affection, and her playful energy on full display as she romps around with her toys like a puppy. Idgie loves to explore, enjoys her leash walks, and already has great leash manners. She greets other dogs gently through the fence, often lowering herself in a cute bow and tucking her tail in a show of friendly submission. It’s so cute to see her playful side come out too … watching her run alongside a canine friend on the other side of the fence is a heartwarming sight. Idgie has also shown no reaction to the feral cats she encounters, calmly going nose to nose through the fence, suggesting that she may be cat-friendly. More than anything, this beautiful girl would love to be in a loving home where she can thrive and be treasured for the sweet soul she is. Could that home be yours? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Idgie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Idgie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Idgie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Idgie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
