Leela is a 2 year old female Pit mix, whose sweet and engaging personality is sure to win your heart! This friendly girl absolutely loves people, and she is so deserving of being with her own family rather than in a shelter. From the moment she meets you, Leela showers you with adoring looks that make you feel like the center of her world. Leela also politely greets other dogs she meets in play pens next to her, so seems dog-friendly. (Of course a Meet n Greet is always recommended if you have other dogs in the household.) This sweet girl walks nicely on a leash, and has a magical way of making everything seem a little brighter just by being with her. And adding to her charms, Leela has a gorgeous coat as unique as her personality, with playful spots and a Holstein-like pattern that make her stand out in the best way. It’s clear that Leela is meant to be in a loving home, forming strong lasting bonds with her family. She is simply looking for her people who will cherish her … is that you? The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leela was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leela’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Leela’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leela’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
