Calvin is a 1 year old male Wire-haired Standard Dachshund mix, who is a shy but super sweet boy! Although initially unsure with new people, once he knows you, he loves you completely! Calvin has a precious way of snuggling into you so that he can be close and feel safe in your arms. After all, a noisy shelter can be a scary place for young pups! Calvin is fairly mild-mannered and simply loves being with his people. He enjoys going on walks together, and keeps at a reasonable pace so that he can stay close by your side. Once he is in the park, he enjoys exploring scents or showing off his fun playful side, although he will quickly return to be near you. Calvin is a handsome dog with a unique appearance - his legs are longer than his breed, such that he is shaped more like a Lab. But he does sport an adorable “beard”, which gives him a look that is SO hard to resist! And why should you? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Calvin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Calvin’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Calvin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Calvin’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
