Tia is a 9 month old female Shepherd mix, and she can’t wait to meet you! She is a friendly girl, and loves to greet everyone who comes to her pen. Tia is currently living with her twin sister Tamera - they are almost identical, and the main way to tell them apart is that Tia has less white on her chest. The two sisters are close, but also young enough that they can be adopted together or separately. Tia loves running in the park, and she also has a cute playful side. Whether playing with her sister or with toys (or both!), this sweet girl almost always has a big smile on her face. Most of all, Tia dreams of having a family of her own, and being surrounded by people who love her. Be sure to meet her soon, and see if you are the one to make Tia’s dreams come true! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
