About this Cat
Hi there! My name is Averil, and I'm a five year old brown tabby girl with a little bit of white on my face. I'm a nice girl who like to get pets from people, and I like to snuggle with you, too. You can pick me up, and I'll purr very strongly for you. I did not have the best life outside of the shelter, and in fact, when I stand up, you might notice that I've lost a lot of fur and muscle tone in my legs. But it's growing back, and with time and good nutrition, I'm going to be a beautiful girl! Also, I don't mind other cats too much--this young whippersnapper Alexa actually opened the barrier between our two cages so she could hang out with me, and I kinda like having her around. So if you're looking for two girl kitties, you might think about adopting both of us--though we will also be fine if we're separated. Come see me soon! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.

Adopt Averil and Receive Averil's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Averil's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Averil's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Averil, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Averil's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Averil was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Averil’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Averil’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Averil’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
