Goose is a classic Cattle Dog â smart, intense, and ready to work. Heâs looking for a home with room to roam, ideally in a rural setting where he can stay busy and have a job to do. Like many in his breed, Goose is particular about who he lets into his circle, but once you're in, youâve got a loyal companion for life.Goose has strong herding instincts and can be quite nippy, especially when heâs trying to âmanageâ his people. Because of this, heâs not a fit for homes with children. Heâs done well with calm, respectful dogs and may do best with a similar canine companion. Weâre not sure how he feels about cats. And one of Gooseâs absolute favorite things? Mud. His dream home would include a good-sized yard and a mud pit â his personal spa and playground.Goose is best suited for someone with herding breed experience who can give him structure, purpose, and space. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, GOOSE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and GOOSE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, GOOSE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the GOOSE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, GOOSE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
