About this Dog
A year ago, Wilson was sad, injured and alone. Through the hard work of our fosters, he is now ready for a therapeutic home where he will be safe and loved Although he is protective of his yard and his food, and doesn’t play well with other dogs, he is a “Velcro” dog who wants to be with his people all the time. He is content to sleep by your feet or on the sofa, accepting pets and belly rubs. He will come and ask for pets, but he is not a lap dog and is sensitive to being touched in the wrong way, we think because of his previous injuries. Wilson LOVES his walks and his toys, is not destructive in the house, puts himself to bed early, sleeps all night, requires minimal grooming and is 100% house-trained and uses a doggie door. He is trained to sit for a treat when you say "1-2-3" which has helped immensely with his reactivity and has made his walks around the neighborhood enjoyable. He is a happy, funny and entertaining dog who now needs parents who have experience with a dog that must be managed. He needs someone who will pay attention to his demeanor and understand the cues that he gives when he is stressed. Because of this, we will not adopt to a family with children. Come and meet Wilson and see if he was meant to be with you!

Adopt Wilson and Receive Wilson's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wilson's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Wilson's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Wilson, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Wilson's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wilson was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wilson’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wilson’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wilson’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
