About this Cat
Miss Ruby is a true gem looking for a home where her purr-sonality can shine! We welcomed this lady into our home when her human passed away. We cleaned his swimming pool and considered him a friend, he was a really good person. He passed away about 3 years after his wife, and Ruby happens to be 3 years old. His family couldn't take her in due to living out of state, so we volunteered to foster her. We had hoped that maybe she would settle into our clowder and be a fosterfail, but she seems to really thrive as a solo cat. In her old home, she was indoor/outdoor with a nice backyard garden to patrol, tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. Unfortunately, we have a busy road bordering our property, so we cannot offer her the same outdoor access. I think she would be happiest if there was a fenced in backyard that she could hang out in. She needs to be in the spotlight, so a home with no other pets would be the best for her. She is a short-hair and enjoys being brushed, so it would be easy to keep fur shedding to a minimum. She likes tummy rubs, paper balls, and a nice cozy cave to snooze in. Her love language is nibbling - when she likes you and wants to love on you, she will come up and gently nibble on your leg. She's a very sweet girl, but unfortunately, after 6 months in our house, she hasn't been able to find common ground with our 3 resident cats. We had hoped things would get better over time, but the territorial conflict seems to be getting worse. She isn't really happy and neither are the other cats, due to the conflict. So, if you've been searching for treasure and hoping to bring home a lovely companion, why not Ruby? She would love to make you smile, just give her ears a little scratch and you'll see her smiling back at you!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ruby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruby’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
