Hi, Iâm Anakinâa 1 year and 2 month old yellow Lab who weighs in at 91 pounds of playful energy. I came to the shelter as an owner surrender, and my previous family said Iâm very active, fearless, and full of personality. I love being around people, Iâm friendly to visitors, and Iâve done well with kids 12 and older, other dogs, and even cats. I walk on a leash easily but do pull a bit, so Iâll need help learning better leash manners. I know a few basic commands like âno,â âsit,â âcome,â and âstay,â and Iâm housetrained tooâIâll go to the door when I need to potty. Iâm also talkative, social, and always up for fun. My favorite toy is a good old stick, and while Iâm confident in most situations, I can be nervous around big dogs, so Iâll need a meet and greet before joining a doggy sibling. Iâve also been known to try a clever escape now and then, so a secure yard is a must. If youâre looking for a happy, people-loving dog with a big heart and a goofy streak, Iâd love to meet you.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ANAKIN was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ANAKIN’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ANAKIN’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ANAKIN’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
