About this Dog
Meet Minnie Mae (Formerly Maggie) A Loyal Heart Looking for Her Second Chance Minnie Mae, previously known as Maggie, was adopted from Pet Rescue By Judy back in 2019 and spent several happy years with her family. She was their original dog and did well when they added a second pup—but when a third dog joined the home, the dynamics changed, and unfortunately, Minnie Mae didn’t adjust well to the new pack. Her family made the heartbreaking decision to return her so she could find a better fit. Big Personality, Big Heart Minnie Mae is full of life, love, and enthusiasm. She’s affectionate, eager to please, and loves being around people. However, she could use a bit of polish—she tends to jump on new people and pulls quite a bit on the leash. She will thrive with an adopter who is patient, consistent, and committed to reinforcing boundaries and basic manners. The good news? She already knows commands like sit, stay, come, and lay down. She’s crate trained, rides well in the car, and absolutely loves to swim. Best as the Only Dog While she enjoys other dogs in short spurts, her big personality can be a bit much for many dogs—so to help her succeed, we are recommending she go to a home where she can be the only dog. This will give her the focus, training, and one-on-one attention she truly needs and deserves. What She Needs Minnie Mae is looking for a home where she can be the star of the show. She’ll do best with someone who is active, confident, and ready to continue her training while giving her lots of love and structure. A secure yard would be a plus, and so would the opportunity for regular swims!
