About this Cat
Hi. My name is Nick (Pumpernickel) and I'm shy. I didn't meet any people until I was about 2 months old when I came to Pet Rescue by Judy. I was so scared of everything that I got really upset if anyone even tried to touch me. The lady in the cat room thought maybe I could learn better manners so my foster mom brought me and my sisters to her house to teach us. I got to learn how to play string games, and I had some cool toys. She gave me nice treats and eventually I felt safe and said she could pet me. I have to work really hard not to be scared. I still don't like loud noise or sudden movements so I run and hide when that happens. But I'm happy when foster mom sits with me and pets me and plays with me. She says I'm doing really well now and I can find my forever family.I love playing with my sister Naan and I really hope we can stay together. My sister is snuggly. I'm still learning that part and I'm pretty sure I can get there with the help of a human who is patient with a shy boy. I hope I can keep learning and be the cool cat I was born to be.** From foster mom: Nick likes playing with plastic springs and chasing strings. He is very fond of "Bursts" cat treats and will come when he hears them shake in the bottle. He is most comfortabe if you are sitting with him, rather than standing.Pumpernickel and his sisters were brought into PRBJ when a lady found them in a salvage yard. These sweet little kittens are playful and full of energy.

Adopt Pumpernickel and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pumpernickel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Pumpernickel's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Pumpernickel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pumpernickel's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pumpernickel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pumpernickel’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Pumpernickel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pumpernickel’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
