About this Cat

Suki was given to me by a friend a couple of years ago who found her one day injured outside. Her nose was bleeding and raw (as seen in the last photo) her ear tip was dripping blood and she was severely underweight. I took her to urgent care, spent $800 getting her treated and decided she would never again live outside where she was clearly in danger. I later discovered she was already spayed, so I got her shots and microchipped. She was pretty young when I took her in so she’s probably about 3 years old now. She’s the most affectionate cat I have (out of 4), which makes this so hard for me but unfortunately, she still has not adjusted to living with other cats. She loves snuggles, giving kisses and is extremely social with humans (even kids!). She’s respectful when we eat, knows her name, loves to play and is very fond of napping on heating pads. She has the funniest meows and just needs to find a home where she’s the only kitty in the household. I had a small elderly dog (who has since passed away) the first year Suki stayed with us and she was scared of her too. As long as my dog stayed out of her way, Suki tolerated her. My other curious kitties, however, do not understand her boundaries so it only causes her great stress. I have tried, unsuccessfully, rehoming her to family and friends so I feel I’m now left with no other options. My house flooded from hurricane Idalia and I still don’t have interior doors so it’s been difficult trying to keep her separated from my other cats. I’m having to use a large crate for her at times to keep things more controlled. I hope to find Suki a home that can give her all the love and care I’ve given her.

Adopt Suki and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Suki's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Suki receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Suki, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Suki's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Suki was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Suki’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Suki’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Suki’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
