Meet Barbara Jean! Born in 2023 This playful sweetheart came to us from St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, and she’s been charming everyone she meets. Barbara Jean is friendly with all people, full of personality, and always ready for some fun. While she can be a bit protective of her food in a kennel setting, she’s otherwise a lovable girl who wants affection and a place to call home. Barbara Jean is heartworm positive and will need a family committed to giving her the rescue provided topical treatment each month. The rescue will provide the treatment until she tests negative. She must go to a home with no small animals—that means no cats, chickens, or livestock—but she’s a wonderful companion who’s ready to be someone’s best friend.
