NOTE: Cagney and Lacey must be adopted together. My name is Cagney and I’m a little terrier girl looking for a family to call my own, along with my mom Lacey. I’m 2-3 years old and weigh 12 lbs. We traveled here from Georgia, where we lived in a small room since I was born. We were never allowed outside so I’m really loving being able to run in a fenced backyard now. I love treats and anything I get to eat. I’m really friendly, and have been told kinda clingy too - but that’s to be expected since I didn’t get much love in the past. I will wrap my head around your shoulders and give hugs. I love all dogs, big and small. I’m ok with cats too. I haven’t been around little kids but I love older ones. Despite being locked in a room my entire life, I’m housebroken. I’m learning to walk on a leash but love to run in a fenced yard, so that is required for me. I ride great in a crate in the car too. Please help me and my mom find our forever home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cagney (must be adopted with Lacey) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cagney (must be adopted with Lacey)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cagney (must be adopted with Lacey)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cagney (must be adopted with Lacey)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
