About this Dog
Meet sweet Sandy. This precious girl came to us from a home where her people kept her outside and chained because of a run-in with a neighbor's chicken. But she is such a gentle soul.... she has walked past her foster family's resident rooster without even looking twice. She is 5 1/2 years old, and weighs 70 lbs., although she looks much smaller in person. This wonderful girl loves everyone she meets. Despite being chained outside, our girl is housebroken and just wants to lie next to you and be right by your side. She's ready to be your companion on long nature walks. She's not much on toys, as she probably never had any, but loves treats! Sandy does have slight separation anxiety and if left for a long period of time, may chew on things. She doesn't cry or scratch at doors and windows. She actually lays on her bed, but will chew things if it gets too long. So she should be crated if left alone until she learns that her people are returning. For those reasons, we are preferring someone who is either retired or works from home. She will your best friend and loving companion. She is so love starved and deserves to know she's not a throwaway dog. Will you be her special person who shows her that? If you live in the Orlando/Central Florida area and believe you have the perfect home for Sandy, please complete an app and tell us more about you.

Adopt Sandy and Receive Sandy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sandy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sandy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sandy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sandy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sandy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sandy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sandy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sandy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
