About this Dog
Hi my name is Cami! I’m an approx. 3-year-old female hound mix weighing around 50lbs. I’m a huge cuddle bug and want to be near my people as much as possible. I was a little shy the first day I came to my foster family, but I opened right up after we played with tennis balls and other toys. I was found as a stray in Georgia with a badly injured right rear leg that was dangling with the bone protruding. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to save my leg, but I’m out of pain and doing much better now. Having only 3 legs doesn’t slow me down at all, I can keep up with other dogs just fine. I have no problem getting on the couch for snuggles. Want a dog you take out and about - I'm your gal! I love going to local breweries and restaurants and getting attention from people who want to say hi and give me pets. I’m a medium energy dog that loves adventures and walks as much as I love hanging out on the couch with the people I love. I sleep great in a bed on the floor, but really love sleeping in bed with my people. I do great on car rides, walking on a leash and I’m crate trained. I'm good with other dogs that aren't too pushy. I’ve been cat tested and passed with an indoor cat, but I chase outdoor cats because I see them as prey. Cami is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. She can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Cami, please complete an application and tell us more about your family.

Adopt Cami and Receive Cami's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cami's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cami's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cami, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cami's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cami was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cami’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cami’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cami’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
