About this Dog
Meet Shorty! This sweet, compact guy is about 2 years old and weighs 26lbs, and has come a long way since he was found wandering as a stray back in January. When his previous owner was located, he made the kind decision to surrender Shorty so he could find the safe, loving home he truly deserves. Now thriving in a foster home, Shorty is discovering how amazing indoor life can be! He’s a happy and healthy boy. His foster family adores him, they know it’s time to help him find his forever match. Shorty loves his crate and even asks to go in it when he needs a little “me time.” His house training is a work in progress, so his new adopter will need to continue helping him with that. He is good with all people, including kids. Shorty loves car rides, but is not a fan of going through a car wash lol. He enjoys going for walks, playing in the yard, and spending time with the other dogs in the home when there are no toys around. Shorty sometimes prefers not to share a toy with his fur siblings, so it's best for him to be the only dog in the household. He would prefer a fenced yard, but he will also do fine with lots of exercise/walks and play time. He lives with cats, and although tempted to chase, he does a great job practicing self-control. He barks at a knock at the door or when the other dogs bark, but otherwise he just makes the sweetest "woooo wooooooooo" sound that's beyond endearing. Shorty would thrive with someone who can offer love, structure, and lots of affection. Adopt Shorty and Receive Shorty's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shorty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Shorty's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Shorty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shorty's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shorty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shorty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Shorty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shorty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
