About this Cat
Hi, I'm Callie. I'm a 3-month-old calico kitten with a fun-loving, sweet personality. And I am completely blind, but I don't let that slow me down one bit! I came to my foster home with a very bad eye infection that healed, but sadly, left me blind in both eyes. When I first began to explore my foster home I bumped into furniture and walls, but quickly learned how to navigate my surroundings and now I can get through the house just fine. I can find the litter box, food and water, and my favorite bed for napping. But I also love playing with my foster brother, Oodie. We have wrestling contests everyday! Oodie is very special to me because he taught me how to play and be like a normal kitty. We are not from the same litter, but we're the same age and love each other a lot. So we are being adopted as a pair, because we want to continue growing up together. Oodie is amazing! He was just 6 days old when he was brought to the shelter without a mom, so our foster mom bottle fed him until he was big enough to eat on his own. He's really loving and cuddly, too...since he was a bottle baby he really likes people and is very social. You can see his adoption profile HERE. Since I'm blind, Oodie and I would be best in house that doesn't have rowdy young kids or scary dogs (Older, calm dogs will be fine though). We make such a wonderful pair and love hanging out. If you think you could give us the right kind of forever home, please reach out to our foster mom Caroline and tell her why. We are just about ready to get fixed and go to our new homes, and we are excited to start living the rest of our lives with someone special! Here's the details on our adoption: How to meet Oodie and Callie : ***IMPORTANT*** Do not hit "reply" to this post, instead reach out DIRECTLY to my foster mom via email: [email protected] for more info and to arrange a meeting in foster home, located 5 miles south of downtown Orlando.***Please also tell us a bit about yourself, such as if you have other pets or kids. We want to make sure that we are a good match for your family! Adoption details: Adoptions are done through Orange County Animal Services, application completed in person at the shelter near Millenia Mall. Adopt Callie and Receive Callie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Callie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Callie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Callie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Callie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Callie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Callie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Callie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Callie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
