About this Cat
My name is Van Gogh and though I cannot hold a paint brush, I sure do enjoy the sensory adventure of watching out the window from a hammock at my foster’s moms house. I was found as a stray in Jacksonville, FL in 2018. At some point, I made my way to a lovely little hotel by the Orlando airport which seemed to offer luxury accommodations, a pool and lovely dining options. For several months, I assisted the hotel staff in guest check ins, ensuring they were properly greeted and taken care of during their stay. After a long days work, I would enjoy visiting BoneFish grill next door for the fresh catch of the day. Though life at the hotel kept me busy for some time, Florida weather was very unpredictable, the restaurants didn’t always have left overs and the days would get lonely. Summers have become unbearable and the hiding in a hotel towel hamper during downpours and thunder got a little scary sometimes. Luckily at the end of summer, I became friends with some really kind mini humans who convinced their adult human to take me in the night before Hurricane Idalia passed through. Since then, I’ve decided that the fast life was behind me and I really missed the feeling of a bed and never having to worry about meals (or weather!) I currently live with a big family of six cats, a Bernese mountain dog and my mini human who rescued me. My foster mom would describe me as calm, loving, patient and sweet. I get along with cats, dogs and children and understand if someone needs space or time to get used to me. Every now and then a red laser appears and I am eager to catch it!! I have succeeded before.. But it always comes back. I love dry and wet food along with cat treats and human treats! I’m looking for a forever home where I can grow old with a human who wants a cat lifetime of love and companionship. I come trained and promise to be a respectful house mate always! I have no allergies or pre-exisiting conditions. This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered. Please put in an adoption application on our website, cats-can.org if you are interested or if you have any questions please email us at [email protected]

Adopt Van Gogh and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Van Gogh's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Van Gogh's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Van Gogh, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Van Gogh's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Van Gogh was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Van Gogh’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Van Gogh’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Van Gogh’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
