Meet Ashley - she is a super sweet gal, she is shy at first of course, but in time, she comes for loving and brushing, to be petted and have a lap to curl up on!It is best to say she'd do best as a single kitty in a quiet environment or with a super easy going cat. She was found when she was a kitten and taken in, given her own room because she was very intimidated by other pets. She has been cared for by her previous caretaker until the lady moved, then Ashley's world was turned upside down. She will always be shy, but in the right environment, she does love to play and has her times where she will let you pet her and brush her and all the kitty things people like. She is a trial and error kitty, meaning it is difficult for us to know how much she will or will not blossom. Ideally we are looking for someone who can be patient, give her time to grow into her new environment and be ok with it if she decides to be left alone. I can promise, even in her moments of loneliness, she still jumps up to play with her laser light. She will come from any area when the cans of food are being opened, she will also talk at times! Bonding with the right person will definitely be a major improvement to her life! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ashley was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ashley’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ashley’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ashley’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
