About this Dog
Bass is a super cute 7-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a small frame. His favorite activities include sunbathing, cuddling, and playing to his heart’s content. While he can be shy with new people at first, he’s making great strides every day and quickly warming up once he feels safe. Potty training is a work in progress, but thanks to his strong food motivation, he’s learning fast. After all, snacks make the world go round. Bass sleeps well in a crate or cuddled up in bed with his person, depending on his mood (he does have a flair for drama and comfort). True to his breed, Bass can be a bit stubborn, especially when he’s asked to share his favorite toy or come inside before he’s ready. But with patience and continued training, he’s sure to be an amazing companion for someone who appreciates a small dog with big charm. Bass is looking for a loving, understanding home where he can continue to grow in confidence and soak up all the sun (and snuggles) he deserves.PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bass was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bass’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bass’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bass’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
