🐾 Meet Daisy – Looking for Her Forever Family ❤️
This is one of the hardest decisions our family has ever had to make.
Daisy's owner is my amazing 70-year-old mom, who is courageously battling Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. This disease from hell has metastatized to her bones making her a fall/break risk. Because of her declining health, she can no longer give Daisy the care and active life she deserves. Our only goal is to find Daisy a loving home where she can spend the rest of her years being as spoiled as she's always been.
Daisy is a beautiful Pit Bull mix (though let's be honest... she's about 99.9% Pit Bull! 😂). She turned 5 years old on November 18, 2025, weighs approximately 55 pounds, is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and currently takes Simparica Trio.
She was adopted from Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control in 2021 and has never had puppies.
Daisy is... well... a total nut! 😂 She has a huge personality and truly believes she's a human baby, not a dog. If you sit down, she assumes your lap belongs to her. If you have a favorite chair... consider it hers now. Personal space? She's never heard of it.
One of the funniest things about Daisy is that she'll sit and "carry on a conversation" with you. She has the sweetest little voice and loves talking back, making everyone around her laugh.
She's also a bit of a diva. Her favorite snacks are carrots and apples, and she absolutely loves ice in her water. If you forget the ice, don't be surprised if she gives you a look of complete disappointment! 😂
Daisy would love a fenced yard or plenty of room to run and play before coming inside to snuggle on the couch.
To help Daisy be successful in her new home, she needs to be the only pet, as she does not get along with other animals. We are also unsure how she does with young children, so a home with adults or older children would probably be the best fit.
What Daisy offers in return is unconditional love, endless laughs, and unwavering loyalty. She is affectionate, goofy, protective of the people she loves, and will become your constant shadow.
*Daisy is up to date on all vaccines and comes with 4-5 months of Simpirica Trio. *Also included is: her whole medical history in an organized binder, her food & water bowls and the stand they're in, her toys, leash, harness, TONS of poop bags, etc. *No medical concerns. *Daisy is a "1 pet per home doggie". She is not a fan of sharing your attention with other animals because she is a spoiled Diva!
This sweet girl has already been through one shelter before finding our family. Our hearts are breaking at the thought of rehoming her, but we love her enough to know she deserves a home where she can continue to thrive.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Daisy Mae was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Daisy Mae’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Daisy Mae’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Daisy Mae’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
