It's likely because he was nervous. Does this dog have special needs?: He can still see, but his vision is compromised by cataracts on both eyes. Explain the circumstances prompting you to request assistance for the dog, or why you desire to surrender this dog to HRI.: My 82yo Mom suffered a fall with Benji 2 weeks ago that puts us in an absolutely terrible position. She has multiple fractures that are unfortunately inoperable. 7 fractures in total. Her bone lesions due to advanced cancer make this recovery very long and tedious. All orthopedics involved in her case have driven home the message very clearly. She can no longer be in the company of any small dogs what so ever. After rehab, Mom will need to live with us for an undefined amount of time. Not only can she no longer have her little partner Benji with her, but our family can not have any small dog in our home at all if she is to spend any time with us during or after recovery. She would not survive another fall.
