About this Dog
It brings me great sadness to write this. After rescuing and rehabilitating our GSD, Willy, for nine months, he can no longer stay. We don’t know how long he was a stray for. He was 101 pounds all skin and bone, and he is blind in his left eye. Very energetic and playful. He’s protective and loving. Breaks all of our hearts that we must do this. He is the sweetest soul with gentle kisses, but he needs to be the only dog in the home and no little kids. While he gets along with other pets, you don’t know if or when he’ll randomly lash out. He’s had so many chances and I can’t afford for anyone to get hurt anymore, as much as this hurts me. I believe there is someone or a couple out there looking for their funny, silly, and protective companion, and that’s Willy. This is painful to do but it must be done. He is a great dog he just needs to be the only dog.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Willy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Willy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Willy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Willy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
