Samantha is a nine year-old 90lb Female German Shepherd, who we saved from Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. Her left ear was broken and was covering her ear canal, causing a horrific and painful ear infection. Her ear flap needed to be amputated as it was necrotic and could not be repaired . Samantha has been such a trooper throughout this entire ordeal. She is very sweet, loving and easy to keep. At nine years old, she’s still pretty strong; she does walk well on a leash with a pressure collar. She is currently living in a foster home on a large horse farm. There are horses, donkeys and other dogs. She gets along well with everyone! (Cats unknown ) Samantha has been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She has tested negative for heartworms and parasites. She is fully potty trained and does not need to be crated, as she is not destructive. Samantha’s ear does not require any further long term care. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Samantha was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Samantha’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Samantha’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Samantha’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
