About this Cat
My name is Sherie Parker, and I am reaching out regarding my cat, Sebastian. Sebastian is an eight-year-old Siamese with a history of trauma and anxiety. He currently takes daily fluoxetine (Prozac) and does best in a calm, predictable environment.
Due to a sudden upcoming international relocation, I am urgently seeking a rescue organization or sanctuary that has experience working with cats who have behavioral challenges and may be able to evaluate him for placement.
Sebastian has experienced behavioral issues related to his traumatic background, including episodes of aggression. Despite these challenges, he has been a beloved companion for 5 years, and my priority is ensuring that he is placed in an environment that understands his needs and can provide him with the support and stability he requires.
I understand that cats with behavioral concerns can be difficult to place, but I am committed to being completely transparent about his history and providing any veterinary records, medication information, or additional details that may be helpful.
If your organization is unable to accept Sebastian, I would be extremely grateful for any recommendations or referrals to rescues, sanctuaries, or foster networks that specialize in behavioral or special-needs cats.

How will Sebastian receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sebastian was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sebastian’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Sebastian’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sebastian’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
