Cassie and Cindy share that special mother/daughter bond, which is truly beautiful to see. They came from very tragic circumstances, but have always had each other, and are now thriving at the rescue. Cassie (tan and white) is the mom, and about 3 years old. She is not much older than her daughter Cindy (grey and white), who is about 2 years old. They are gorgeous, little Shih Tzu girls, both about 12 pounds. Cindy’s left eye is nonvisual and bluish in color, possibly from prior trauma. Her right eye is normal and has good vision. Otherwise, there are no issues with either girl. Cassie and Cindy are lively, energetic, playful young girls, loving their playtime with our staff and volunteers. They are happy, super sweet and friendly, and enjoy cuddling and affection. Cassie and Cindy like to play fetch, and absolutely love toys, but never fight over them. It’s impossible not to smile when with them and share in their exuberance over their chance at a new, happy life. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cassie & Cindy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cassie & Cindy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cassie & Cindy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cassie & Cindy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
