About this Dog
WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Alba, our sweet 3-year-old mama dog with the softest heart and the silliest tippy tappies. She was transferred from another shelter, so her past is a mystery, but itâs clear sheâs had a few litters and a life full of neglect. Despite it all, sheâs incredibly loving and gentle. Alba will nuzzle right into you for pets and happily curl up in your lap like a little lap dog. This calm, affectionate girl is also bravely undergoing heartworm treatment, which our shelter will provide for free, even after adoption. The treatment usually takes just a few months, and sheâll have all the love and care she needs along the way. Alba is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own. Come meet this sweet soul and see just how special she is. If you think Alba might be the one, please come meet her. To meet Alba, or any other pet at the Humane Society of Broward County visit humanebroward.com to complete the pre-adoption application. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, and the adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. Call 954-989-3977 if you have any questions
Contribute to ALBA's Stash!

100% of ALBA's balance will be sent to whoever adopts ALBA.
Adopt ALBA and Receive ALBA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, ALBA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is ALBA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the ALBA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming ALBA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ALBA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ALBA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ALBA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ALBA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
