About this Cat

‘Though she be but little she is fierce’ - This quote from "Midsummer Night's Dream" describes Maisie perfectly. We rescued this beautiful little girl from a high kill shelter in the hopes of giving her the years in this life she was meant to have. This is a young kitten who deserves all the chances to discover, play, and be loved that are out there for her. I am not sure of her age, I'd guess anywhere from 12 weeks to 16 weeks. Her longer hair, ear tuffs, and slight lion's mane hints that her heritage is from one of the fluffier breeds of cats, possibly a Main Coon or Norwegian Snow Cat. She is spayed and has all her shots minus a couple of boosters she will be receiving soon. Maisie is a tad skittish still but does let her foster parents pet her. The shelter she came from reports her as "a very sweet cat". There is an infection in her left eye that her medical records describe as non-serious and likely to resolve on its own. To be on the side of caution, I will be taking her to a private vet and getting a second opinion. Maisie is a tough little lass who came from hardship and is now ready to learn about all the "good" things cats can expect from humans. She is still very much a kitten that wants to explore and investigate the world around her. If little Maisie sounds like the long term companion you are looking for please contact me.

Adopt Maisie and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maisie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Maisie receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Maisie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Maisie's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maisie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maisie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Maisie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maisie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
