Tessa came to our shelter with very badly injured back legs. She had difficulty getting around, but has now been on a pain management routine that has improved her happiness and mobility greatly! She would thrive in a home with few stairs, if any, but is able to walk, jog, and explore all on her own! Tessa is a wonderful companion! She is an energetic dog who loves people, is always excited for a long walk, and soaks up being pet by her owner and others. She doesn't mind being in her crate when you're out, and will be very happy to see you when you return! Tessa loves frequent walks, and is always interested in a long nap after! She is a peaceful sleeper, and sleeps through the night. Don't worry about her going to the bathroom in the house, as long as she is being walked a couple times a day, she will be all good! Tessa just needs home without other animals, and she'll be on her best behavior!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tessa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tessa’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tessa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tessa’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
