About this Dog
Silk has been with us a little over a year now. He really needs a family to call his own. He is a 3 yr Labradoodle mix. This poor guy has had four homes now including his foster home. He was surrendered to a shelter when he was 6 months old because his mom was sick and the family couldn't take care of him. He was adopted by an older lady and around his 2nd birthday he was surrendered back to the shelter because he was too much for her to handle. We thought it would be easy to help with finding a forever home so we rescued him from the shelter and he went to his potential new home pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it only lasted 3 weeks because it was a city apartment setting and he did not do well in that environment. Silk is a great dog but because of his past and lack of socialization he does need the right home. He is a huge goofball and loves people but does not always show well for introductions. He is unsure when greeting new people and will bark a lot. He is a very anxious guy and we would love to find him a person who is home a lot. He is house trained and crate trained. He does fine with cats and is ok with calm dogs. He does not need to go on long walks, he would prefer to have a nice yard to hang out in with his people. If you think Silk is the right guy for you please reach out or fill out an application. He would make the best companion. We would really like for him to have the experience of his forever family. He deserves it! Visit our website to fill out an application. abuddyforlife.org

Adopt Silk and Receive Silk's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Silk's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Silk's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Silk, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Silk's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Silk was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Silk’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Silk’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Silk’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
