About this Dog
Berta is a 2-year-old rescue from overseas. She now resides in Tbilisi, Georgia, and will be ready to travel mid-September with all fees covered by her guardian. Berta was found abandoned with injuries typical of a hit-and-run. She lost her leg and has a spinal injury, so she uses a wheelchair for long walks. She is now being trained to walk on her own, and her progress is amazing! Sadly, Georgia as a country has a huge problem with stray animals, and the local environment is simply not very suitable for special needs animals. Berta is ready to meet her new human friends overseas and bring a lot of joy to their lives, being the sweet gentle girl that she is.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Berta was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Berta’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Berta’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Berta’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
