About this Dog
If you look up the definition of 'resilience' in the dictionary, you will see Pacino's picture as the definition! Pacino was found as a stray running around the RGV in Texas with an apparent headwound. After SSR caught him, it was determined that he was likely hit in the head with a machete/axe/hammer. Upon arrival on the east coast, it was determined by his primary vet that he needed an urgent CT to determine the extent of his injuries. Boy were we shocked by the extent of the damage the imaging uncovered! Pacino had surgery in February to close the wound in his head. He is recovering super well and recently got the all clear from his veterinary team to be adopted! We are so excited that Pacino is finally able to move on to the next chapter of his life and find his forever home! Pacino is a total goober. He loves to run, chew his bones and wrestle with other dogs. He can be reactive through barriers but has made great improvements and rarely exhibits any reactive signs lately. He can be vocal at times but usually it is just because he feels left out and wants to be a part of the action. He sleeps through the night in bed with his foster pawrents, on his bed on the floor or in his kennel. He even enjoys resting in his kennel even when he does not have to. He hoards all of his toys to his kennel as well! He loves to climb up on your lap and smoosh his nose into your face so you can give him scratches and cuddles. He is leash trained and enjoys adventuring around his foster parents woods/farm. He is potty trained, leash trained and crated during the day however he would likely be fine to be out of his kennel 24/7. He is cat friendly. Overall he is a tremendous pup that just needs a little house training and manners! He has loved every human he has met to date and is just waiting patiently for his forever home to find him! Pacino is being fostered in Camden, Delaware.
