About this Dog
Valentine is a sweet and spicy Great Pyrenees and Border Collie mix who came into rescue around Valentine’s Day with her siblings Cupid and Rose. All three pups have medium-high energy and prefer being inside with their people, but also love playing in the yard with the other resident dogs. They are working on learning all the skills needed to blossom into wonderful family dogs, like crate training, walking on leash, and house-training. They also love absolutely everyone who comes through the door, regularly meeting new people of all ages! Valentine is an affectionate girl with the most adorable white heart on her head. She goes after what she wants, whether that’s crawling into an available lap for some cuddle time, tussling with the boys, or napping in a patch of sunlight. Hanging out with the indoor cat is also a priority, and she will lay under the table waiting for him to join her. She’s a social butterfly, loving to play tug of war with her brother and sister, “grooming” the other dogs, and snuggling with her humans. This little cutie loves food, and she will bark on occasion if dinner is not served promptly! Her favorite toy is a caterpillar that is three times her size! - she shows it who’s boss when she drags it all over the house, including to the bed to curl up on for a good nap. Valentine’s ideal home will have a secure fenced yard and a canine brother who she can look up to for advice and to help her learn the ropes and routine. She can’t wait to have a family that will allow her to be a cherished member and include her in their activities!
