About this Dog
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 12-month-old Great Pyrenees. She and 2 others were found roaming the streets. One was hit by a car and the 2 are now with CCPAL Rescue. The Good Samaritan that brought them saw it all and has kept them till CCPAL could take them. She mentioned that she thought they were rejected by a breeder or maybe he didn’t want to do it anymore. When we took in Athena we didn’t know she was pregnant. We found out when we took her to be spayed so we allowed her to have the puppies. All the puppies have been adopted and now it is time for this gentle sweetheart to find her forever home. We are not sure why they were loose but Athena is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up and he is great with other dogs. She doesn’t know anything about leash walking but we will be working with her on leash skills. He is about 65 pounds and looks to be a good weight. This breed of dog is a Guardian dog and are known for their ability to protect a flock of animals from harm. She will need a fenced yard as this breed will roam without a fence. She has a wonderful long coat and will be great in the more northern and colder climates. We think he is a pure-bred GP pup but we are not breeders and he has not papers. We will say she is a mix. She would be great with another dog or as an only and fine with children. 8 or older are ideal. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions. Adopt Athena and Receive Athena's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Athena's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Athena's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Athena, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Athena's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Athena was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Athena’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Athena’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Athena’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
