Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption. You may be required to travel if approved for adoption. Meet Edward! Somehow this handsome guy and his adorable sister (Luna) wound up as abandoned pups in a shelter, and that just made no sense to us! We pulled them to safety and started them on their journey to healthy new lives and homes where they will be part of loving families. Edward is a medium sized guy at 40 pounds, 2 years of age, great with people and other dogs, is not bothered by the cats in his foster home, and although he’s not spent time with children while in our care, his temperament is so good we feel he will do will in any family environment. As with all new pets, Edward will need time to decompress and adjust to his new environment. Help Edward complete his journey to a healthy, happy new life - apply today! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Edward was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Edward’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Edward’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Edward’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
