About this Dog
I'm still young (born 10/4/24) and learning how to be a good girl. New people can be a little scary, so I stick close to my foster mom while I check them out for a bit to decide if I like them. Some people I like really quick, especially younger ones who are super friendly. Bigger people take longer. Sometimes I take bribes, but some people just need to give me more time to know you. Once I decide I like you though, I'll be happy to sit in your lap (all 45 lbs of me!), give lots of kisses and go on long walks with you! Foster mom says I'm a silly girl and loves my cuddles. I'm doing good with house training and learning commands. I sit like a champ and am good at getting off and leaving things alone when mom tells me no. I'm learning which things are toys I can play with but listen real good when I'm redirected. Stay is hard to do but I'm working on it. I'll sleep in my crate if I have to but I like it way more in the bed with foster mom. She says I'm a good toe warmer and share space nice with the other pup here. I play really nice with the other pup here. We like to wrestle, zoom around in the yard, chase balls and go on hikes together. I met a cat at the shelter, but they weren't very interesting, so I left it alone. I'm looking for a furever family to call my own. Could that be you? Apply today at East Coast Canine Rescue; I'm waiting to meet you!

100% of Firefly's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Firefly.
Adopt Firefly and Receive Firefly's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Firefly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Firefly's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Firefly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Firefly's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Firefly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Firefly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Firefly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Firefly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
