About this Dog
Closer is a super cute smaller guy (about 20 lbs) who is finally showing us his puppy personality! It takes him a bit to warm up but now that he is starting to feel safe and comfortable we are seeing how sweet and loving he really is. He absolutely loves to cuddle on the couch with his people and equally loves to run around the yard and play. He has also started to warm up to our resident dog but he does seem to do better with female dogs. We have children of all ages (3-16) and he does great with all of them. He is still working on leash training and is just about house trained as well. He does well in the crate when he feels like it but sometimes, he just is not a fan. He will cry to use the bathroom if he is in the crate which is a great sign!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and CLOSER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, CLOSER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the CLOSER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, CLOSER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
