About this Dog
Meet gentle Gunner. He is a 1.5-year-old treeing walker coonhound mix. He is fully grown at 52 pounds. Gunner is looking for a loving forever home where he can be part of a family. Gunner has a medium energy level. He enjoys his outdoor time but is also happy to spend some quality time curled up on the couch with his people. He is a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Gunner gets along well with other dogs and children. He would be a wonderful addition to a family with one or both in residence. However, Gunner enjoys a good chase, so he would not do well in a home with a cat. Gunner is good on a leash and enjoys his walks. He is still working on his crate training and is making progress, but he will need more practice to achieve his gold standard. He is smart pup who is sure to pick this skill up quickly with the help of his forever family. He can move to the head of the class with his house-training skills because he has achieved master status. Although he is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. If Gunner sounds like your perfect match, read below!* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Gunner is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Adopt Gunner and Receive Gunner's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gunner's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gunner's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gunner, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gunner's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gunner was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gunner’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gunner’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gunner’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
