About this Dog
When opportunity opens doors, Simon is ready to stroll right in. Our boy Simon seized the opportunity and walked into a town hall building during a Board of Education meeting. What a lucky day for one year old Simon. That stroll over the threshold, secured a bright future for this 64 pound Terrier mix. Since Simon is a stray, there is an unknown past but from his eager and happy interactions with people, we see Simon as being a great future canine companion. We do know that he is a high energy boy so an equally active family will be a good match for him. He will thrive in a structured environment and firm leadership to guide him in his daily life. Exercise will be a key component in working out his energy so regularly walks, hikes, and strolls will be beneficial for him. He is a happy go lucky boy that wants to be loved. With a friendly disposition and a sweetheart personality, Simon will be everything his forever family will want or needin in a canine companion. Simon will be a great running partner and a great all around companion. He has demonstrated a high curiosity with cats that we are almost certain a cat would not want to entertain the idea of companionship. Therefore, he will need a home without a feline resident. Simon has not been introduced to young children since coming into rescue. With lots of changes in his life, Simon will need his family to assist him with learning his crate and leash training. He loves treats and with that enthusiasm he should learn his skill set in a short amount of time. He is housetrained, but it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. He aims to impress, so human interaction is a treat for Simon. Toys are very much enjoyed by Simon as well so he will have lots of fun engaging with a good stash of toys at hand. With a youthful spirit and exuberant nature, Simon will be a joy in welcoming into your life. He will be a wonderful addition to the family and provide years of love and companionship. * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Simon is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Adopt Simon and Receive Simon's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Simon's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Simon's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Simon, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Simon's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Simon was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Simon’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Simon’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Simon’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
