About this Dog
What a sweet, beautiful face this lady has. One look into her soulful eyes and you will fall in love. Meet our sweet natured girl, Joy. She is a five-year-old mixed breed girl. She is a medium sized dog weighing 50 pounds. This beautiful girl is the mother to two of our other rescue dogs, Kai and Chance. Now that her mothering duties are behind her, Joy is looking for her forever home where she can show you all the love she has to give. Joy is good with dogs and children and would welcome both into her home. She has not had an introduction to a feline so at this time, it is unknown if she would be accepting of a feline friend. Joy would be the perfect dog for a home that is looking to give a little bit of an older dog a home. She has a good number of years left to enjoy life with her family and she is eagerly anticipating her bright and loving future. She envisions herself playing fetch, running around the backyard, going on walks and hikes, going for an enjoyable car ride or just snuggling on the couch. She is currently house trained and continues to work on her crate and leash training. Although Joy is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. This beautiful lady wants to create years of happy memories with you. You will be so grateful that you found Joy. As with any new dog, she will need patience and consistency in her training so she can be the best dog possible. Ultimately all she wants to do is live a happy life in her new forever home.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. Will you give her the opportunity? The adoption fee for Joy is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

100% of Joy's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Joy.
Adopt Joy and Receive Joy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Joy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Joy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Joy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Joy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Joy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Joy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Joy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Joy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
